Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of MUNYUN, the Model UN chairing platform available at munyun.org and its related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use MUNYUN
MUNYUN is built for Model UN clubs, chairs, secretariats, and conference organizers. Many of our users are students. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent, guardian, teacher, or conference advisor. If you are using MUNYUN on behalf of a school, club, or conference, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
2. What MUNYUN provides
MUNYUN gives chairs and secretariats tools to run committee sessions, including roll call, speakers lists, caucuses, motions, voting, and session records. We work to keep the Service running smoothly, but we may add, change, or remove features over time as the platform evolves.
3. Your account
You can sign in to MUNYUN using a supported third party sign in option, such as a Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign in credentials secure. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Acceptable use
When you use MUNYUN, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
- Disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or the servers and networks behind it.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or to our systems.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except where the law expressly allows it.
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on someone else's rights.
5. Your content
Committee data you create in MUNYUN, such as rosters, speakers lists, and session records, belongs to you and your organization. By using the Service, you give MUNYUN the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content so we can operate the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of your content.
6. Our intellectual property
The MUNYUN platform, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to MUNYUN and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use the MUNYUN name or logo except as needed to use the Service.
7. Third party services
MUNYUN relies on third party services, such as authentication and hosting providers, to operate. Your use of those services through MUNYUN may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third party services we do not control.
8. Fees
Every available plan is currently free. We may introduce paid plans or features in the future. If we do, we will make the pricing clear before you are charged, and paid features will be optional.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." While we work hard to keep MUNYUN reliable, we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, MUNYUN and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
You can stop using MUNYUN at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or the platform.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
